Research Experience
Fellows engage in a comprehensive year-long research program designed to explore critical topics in orthopaedic traumatology. Working closely with esteemed faculty, including Dr Babar Shafiq and other leading experts, fellows delve into diverse research areas such as bone health evaluation, biomechanics, artificial intelligence, and disparities in trauma care. This experience encompasses writing and editing manuscripts, presenting findings at national conferences, and leading research teams on clinical trials, anatomic studies, and patient education projects. By the program’s end, fellows are well-prepared to contribute meaningfully to orthopaedic surgery and trauma research through their publications, grant writing, and data analysis.
